Interested in learning or improving some crafty skills to help towards a more sustainable lifestyle? Well, it seems everyone is at it and next week (and indeed the first week of every month) there are two opportunities to join in (in Exeter anyway)
If you want to do some crocheting have a look here http://makedoandmendexeter.blogspot.com
and if knitting is more up your street then try this one http://www.knitexpo.co.uk/KNITin.html
Could be particularly useful for anyone considering taking up a project to do something constructive (and sustainable) for lent, rather than just giving things up.
I’m sure there are more similar groups around, these are just two I’m aware of. The first is something to do with a friend of a friend and was recommended for me (and doesn’t clash with a transition Exeter thing for once), the second I’ve been to once, there were a wide range of people and projects and it was very friendly with lots of tip swapping and problem solving going on.
Oh, and if you’d rather do something a bit muckier http://www.seedysunday.org/page_id__170_path__.aspx
